Wisconsin requires ultrasounds before abortions, admitting privileges for abortion doctors

Introduced by Sens. Lazich, Vukmir, et al., and signed into law in 2013 by Gov. Scott Walker, SB206 (Public Act No. 37) requires ultrasounds before abortions and prohibits doctors without hospital admitting privileges from performing abortions. The legislation promotes informed choice. Pregnancies resulting from sexual assault or incest are exempted.
