Wisconsin passes groundbreaking collective bargaining law

Bill: Assembly Bill 11 (“Act 10 – Budget Repair Act”)

Led by Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald and signed into law by Gov. Scott Walker, Assembly Bill 11 (Act 10; “Budget Repair Act”) ended public employee collective bargaining in Wisconsin, allowing elected state officials to regain control over state budget matters. An Act relating to: state finances, collective bargaining for public employees, compensation and fringe benefits of public employees, the state civil service system, the Medical Assistance program.
